DAN 115 Ballet Basics II

This studio/performance course provides for further development of fundamental skills and foundational techniques necessary for ballet dance. The emphasis of the course is on the continued development of ballet techniques by means of more advanced movement combinations, the strengthening of posture awareness, improvisational study and physical creativity, musicality and expression. The course is suggested for majors in Musical Theatre who have not yet mastered the foundational techniques to be successful in our current Ballet course offerings.

This course may be repeated once for academic credit.

Student should have completed DAN 114: Ballet Basics I or completed a dance placement exam in order to establish eligibility in the course
