ITA - Italian
Not open to native speakers. Beginning Italian with an emphasis on Italian culture, as well as understanding and speaking Italian in practical situations. Includes practice in reading and writing.
Placement in Italian is determined using the highest course level completed, as documented on high school transcripts only. Middle school coursework does not apply. These courses are not open to native speakers of Italian. ITA 101 is for students with no prior Italian coursework. ITA 102 is for students who completed Italian I in high school or ITA 101 at UTampa. ITA 201 is for students who completed Italian II in high school or ITA 102 at UTampa. ITA 202 is for students who completed Italian III or Italian IV in high school or ITA 201 at UTampa. Students cannot take ITA 101, 102, 201, and 202 concurrently.
