SPA 102 Elementary Spanish II
Not open to native speakers. Beginning Spanish with emphasis on Hispanic culture, as well as understanding and speaking Spanish in practical situations. Includes practice in reading and writing.
Placement in Spanish is determined using the highest course level completed, as documented on high school transcripts only. Middle school coursework does not apply. These courses are not open to native speakers of Spanish. SPA 101 is for students who completed Spanish I or less. SPA 102 is for students who completed Spanish II or Spanish III. SPA 105 is for students who completed Spanish II or Spanish III. SPA 201 is for students who completed Spanish III or Spanish IV. SPA 202 requires chair permission and is intended for students with Spanish IV, AP Spanish, or strong proficiency. Students cannot take SPA 101, 102, 201, and 202 concurrently.
