UT Travel Courses Abroad

Students can earn UT academic credit while experiencing the world with their UT classmates and faculty. Students enroll in an on-campus 2-credit UT course (usually 7-weeks) with a UT credit bearing travel component that typically occurs immediately following the end of the term. The travel component may last from seven days to four weeks. Academic credit is typically given in the same semester as the pre- departure course. Students must register for and take both the UT on-campus pre-departure course and the UT Travel Component in the appropriate term of delivery. Students are responsible for the travel program fee, which varies according to destination, length of stay and type of program. Destinations offered vary each year. Participants are required to register with the Office of International Programs by applying, completing pre- departure instruction, and enrolling in UT international health insurance.
