31.3. Site Visits
At a minimum of two times during the clinical year, the Director of Clinical Education or Program faculty, will perform a site visit for a discussion with the student and preceptor that will include a review of the clerkship objectives, student performance and progression in the clerkship, the adequacy of the clinical experience, level of supervision, and the feedback process and evaluation instruments. When possible, the faculty member will directly observe and evaluate the student’s performance in a patient encounter.
Site visits may be performed more frequently, depending on the needs of the student or site, and as determined by the DCE.
