G4. Student and Employee Assistance Program
Students experiencing difficulties that affect personal lives or program performance are encouraged to use the Mass General Brigham Student/ Employee Assistance Program (SAP/EAP) for consultations, short-term counseling, information, and referral.
During the COVID-19 pandemic most visits are virtual via the confidential Zoom platform or by phone. The SAP office is located in Building 39, Room 146, in the Student and Alumni Center, in the Charlestown Navy Yard. Counselors are normally available on campus two half-days each week. Once offices fully re-open, in addition to on-campus services, students have access to and can be seen in any of the nine Mass General Brigham SAP/EAP offices. The main location SAP/EAP office is at 175 Charles River Park at MGH.
SAP/EAP counselors provide assessments, referrals, and short-term counseling (up to six visits). They can also connect students to more information about Mass General Brigham EAP/SAP’s many offerings such as – legal and financial resources, webinars, and online tools to support self-care and healthy life choices.
Services provided through SAP/EAP are free and confidential.
