The Piper Aircraft Apprenticeship Program offers the chance to earn while you learn Manufacturing Career Skills. Apprentices learn all aspects of fabrication and assembly of aircraft during the two-year initiative. Additionally, they attend technical classes and receive hands-on training designed to qualify the participants as a Journeyman in Aircraft Assembly. This program is offered in partnership with State of Florida registered apprenticeship sponsors and prepares students for careers in the aviation industry. The program utilizes a cooperative method of instruction, requiring on-the-job training for which the student receives compensation, and classroom instruction. As with all Apprenticeship programs each apprentice is a paid employee of Piper Aircraft and receives a full benefits package.
