Second Bachelor's Degree -- Post-Baccalaureate
Students may choose to earn a second bachelor's degree after successfully earning a bachelor's degree at the University of Tampa or any institution accredited by an institutional accreditor recognized by UT. The list of institutional accreditors recognized by UT can be found in the Transfer Credit Evaluation section. Students must earn a minimum of 24 non-overlapping credit hours between the two degrees and meet all residency requirements as discussed in the Academic Residence Requirements section. All courses required for the chosen major must be completed. Students who did not earn their first bachelors degree at the University of Tampa will be required to complete elective courses if the remaining courses in the major are not sufficient to meet residency requirements. Courses taken during the first degree will generally not need to be repeated, except credits earned more than six years prior to admission to the second degree will be evaluated on an individual basis by the appropriate department head to determine if the credit is valid toward the current degree. See the Transfer Credit Evaluation section for more information
