Wellness and Exercise Promotion BS
A major in wellness and exercise promotion consists of an interdisciplinary program of study in which students will implement health assessments and wellness programs during internships. The degree endeavors to promote scholarly inquiry and cultivate professionals capable of assisting others in developing self-responsibility for their own health and wellness through healthy, active lifestyles. Completion of this degree prepares students for employment in corporate, clinical, or community wellness settings or for the pursuit of graduate study.

Additional Graduation Requirement:
All students must provide a current certificate of completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers.
Graduate Study Option
Students who are pursuing UF’s Master of Athletic Training (MAT) degree, following the guidelines for Early Assurance and Junior Admit options may apply up to 32 semester hours of their graduate coursework to the 124 undergraduate total hour requirement. The MAT degree does not need to be earned prior to the bachelor’s degree being conferred. All requirements for this major must be completed prior to enrolling in a graduate program, the degree will be conferred at the completion of the first year of graduate study.
