ESCI 2000 Watershed Hydrology

This course introduces the field of hydrology with a specific focus on watershed scale processes. Students will understand the influences of watershed characteristics such as land use and precipitation patterns on runoff volume and velocity. These processes will be applied to understanding water quality, sediment transport and channel geomorphology. Professional ethics and value dilemmas as they relate to watershed hydrology will be addressed.
