COSM 1040 Styling
Introduces the fundamental theory and skills required to create shapings, pin curls, fingerwaves, roller placement, blow dry styling, thermal curling, thermal pressing, thermal waving, artificial hair and augmentation, and comb-outs. Laboratory training includes styling training on manikin. Topics include: raiding/intertwining hair, styling principles, pin curls, roller placement, fingerwaves, skip waves, ridge curls, blow dry styling, thermal curling, thermal pressing, thermal waving, artificial hair and augmentation, comb-outs, and safety precautions.
