Work-Learning During Break Periods
Some departments receive work-learning hours for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break periods. A student who wishes to work during a break should first check with their supervisor. If no hours are available in their department, the Work College Program may be able to help identify other openings on campus, and break-period vacancies are also posted on Handshake. Break hours are not guaranteed and depend on availability.
Upper-division students may be scheduled to work during a break period if this was part of their original hiring agreement. First-year students are welcome to work during breaks but are not required to do so.
A new Status Form is required for all break positions.
