TAD 180 Graphic Com and Design
This course introduces students to the persuasive power of graphic communication. Through projects that engage with contemporary topics, both local and global, we explore how different points of view can be represented through visual design. Throughout the semester, we seek to discover how graphic communication, whether on our billboards, print publications, or screens is not a passive bystander in our experience, but instead plays a significant role on how we process concepts and the environment around us. This will be accomplished through readings, classroom discussions, laboratory experiences, and out-of-class projects. The laboratory activities will provide students with the opportunity to develop skills that can be used in print design, web design, digital photography and digital video production/post-production. Course fee $10.
