RTE 1000 Introduction to Radiologic Sciences

In this course, students gain an overview of the radiologic sciences by studying the history of radiologic technology and the different imaging modalities used in medical imaging today. Students study the foundational principles of radiation protection, patient interactions, medical ethics, and medicolegal issues that they will practice and encounter in the clinical education component of the radiography program. Students write a research paper on medical errors for a graded assignment.
