ETI 1805C Introduction to Rigging and Lifting

In this course, students learn both lifting theory and practical rigging methods and procedures. Rigging attachment procedures, lifting equipment, limits of operation, and communication practices are covered. This course prepares students for careers in industrial maintenance that involve the mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment. Students learn how to determine rigging requirements for lifts, select equipment, calculate loads, and safely operate different types of lift equipment.
