DSC 4218 Emergency Planning II

In this course students engage in developing multiple sections of an emergency operations plan that adhere to the most recent Federal Emergency Management Agency’s planning guidelines. Beyond creation, students evaluate existing jurisdictional plans, identifying opportunities for improvement.  In addition, students explore the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in emergency management, focusing on its ethical application, data integrity, and role in streamlining response workflows.
