DEH 2602L Periodontology Lab
In this course, students study additional non-surgical periodontal therapies and equipment available in the treatment of periodontal disease. Students practice periodontal examination, and treatment planning. Students learn the dental hygienist’s role in periodontal therapy through clinical application. Students study the concepts of oral risk assessment, ultrasonic instrumentation, air polishing, chemotherapeutic agents, and adjunctive oral hygiene aids.
