RED 4854 Reading Practicum
This course is a structured field experience course (40 hours) designed to give practice in developmental reading techniques appropriate to elementary/middle-secondary students. Experiences are provided in diagnosis, instructional planning for remediation, on-going evaluation of reading progress, communication with parents, and the use of authentic literature. This course aligns with application of Reading Endorsement Competencies.
