ENC 1101 English Composition I
This course presents the rhetorical principles of modern and classical essays, which in practical application enable students to compose college level expository and argumentative essays. It also contains a required speech component. Students demonstrate college-level writing skills through multiple assignments.

Student must score into college-level reading and English on placement test, have completed
ENC 0017 with a grade of "S" or higher or be concurrently enrolled in
ENC 0017, or be a member of the SB1720 Exempt cohort.
