Libraries
The Miley Library, located on the Massey Campus in Fort Pierce, is the center of academic activity for students, faculty, and the campus community. The Library is an integral part of the intellectual life on campus and trained library faculty and staff are available to provide individual and group assistance and guidance.
The Library offers students vital resources for academic success, including access to online databases, the Internet, e-books, as well as traditional resources.
IRSC students and employees also have access to the resources available at libraries throughout Florida using reciprocal agreements or inter-library loan. The Miley Library is a U.S. Federal Depository Library and receives a large number of Federal documents of interest to the campus community and the citizens of the Treasure Coast.
Electronic Access to Information (LIS 1002) is a recommended college credit course offered each term to teach students how to become information literate in the use of online information resources.
Pruitt Campus Library - St. Lucie West
Operated in cooperation with Indian River State College and St. Lucie County, the joint-use library offers an exceptional learning resource center to students and residents of southern St. Lucie County including books, periodicals, and media collections which reflect the college curriculum, as well as a diverse collection of current literature.
Brackett Library - Mueller Campus, Vero Beach
The beautiful 30,000 square foot joint-use Brackett Library is operated as a partnership between IRSC and the Indian River County Library System. In addition, the Marion C. Link Electronic Resource Center provides students with online access to a wealth of information resources, including the online library catalog, e-books, library databases, online library research and citation style guides and the worldwide resources of the internet.
Robert Morgage Library - Chastain Campus, Stuart
The Robert Morgade Library, a joint-use library partnering with the Martin County Library System, serves both students and Martin County residents housing books, periodicals, and media collections which reflect the college curriculum and Martin County resident interest.
Dixon Hendry Library Collection - Okeechobee
This collection provides students with online access to a wealth of information resources, including college library holdings, e-books, online databases, and the worldwide resources of the Internet.
