REL 480 Sem Religions & Spiritualities
Prerequisite: Senior standing or permission of instructor
This seminar aims for students who choose the Major in Religions and Spirituality to advance their knowledge and understanding about the nature and study of this field. Through discussion, argumentation, research, and writing, students will have opportunities to exercise their expertise in studies of religions, spirituality, and culture, to reflect on and to integrate their studies within both the Major itself and the broad requirements of the larger curriculum, and to demonstrate their mastery of relevant scholarship and their intention to contribute to that scholarship. The course also will provide opportunities for students to participate in interdisciplinary exploration of issues in academic studies of religions and spirituality. The seminar will examine topics or themes that reflect the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary character of this field of study. This course supports the required senior
