HIS 245 Black Urban History (AFR)
Students will examine the complex and dynamic historical experiences of Black urban America since the colonial period. Students will also better understand the African American experience as it relates to the evolution of urban America. The course content is delivered through an interdisciplinary lens. Disciplines and fields used to examine Black Urban History include: Black Studies; Urban Studies; Social history; American history; Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; and Labor history.
