FRN 260 Art of Film Frn Spkng World II

We will examine film as an art form. Students will learn to analyze not just films’ content but also their visual techniques, audio techniques, editing, etc. We will watch films in French, made from the invention of cinema to the present day, by directors from Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, and the Caribbean. Students who meet one of the prerequisites may register for French 260, which is taught in English at the times listed and in French during one extra hour per week. Students may not receive credit for both FRN 160 and FRN 260.
