REL 107 Intro to the New Testament
Introduction to the earliest Christian literature, in light of the historical and cultural contexts in which Christian movements originated during the first century C. E. This course examines the formation of Christian scriptures, genres of literature that early Christians produced and included in the New Testament, diverse representations of Jesus as Christ, as well as experiences, rituals, practices, beliefs, moral teachings, and institutions that originated during this period and that this literature reflects.
