PHI 275 Philosophy in World Traditions
An introduction to philosophy from a comparative perspective, pulling on different world traditions' approaches and perspectives to investigate and to understand better both the complexities of such problems and the solutions offered by different approaches. Issues in metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, logic, the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of language, and aesthetics may be explored, and traditions including African, Asian, Indigenous, Islamic and Western will be incorporated.
