CSC 300 Embedded Systems
Prerequisites: CSC 226 OR CSC 236
Embedded Systems are hardware, software, or a combination of both which are designed for a specific, atomic function in a specialized environment. In this course, embedded systems will be explored with an emphasis on practical application of concepts. This course will include programming software which interacts with embedded hardware, such as sensors and output devices. Other topics include the Internet of Things, ethics in embedded systems, smart homes and buildings, environmental sensing, and informatics using sensors.
Noncredit for students who completed it as CSC 386-MJ - Embedded Systems or CSC 386-SH - Embedded Systems. This course will be offered in alternate years.
