ATTR 508 Fundamentals of Therapeutic Interventions
The purpose of this course is to provide a foundation of therapeutic intervention principles and exercise techniques. It includes theoretical concepts, rationale for use, effects, indications and contraindications for therapeutic interventions and exercises. The scope is inclusive of approaches applicable to common sports medicine problems. Emphasis will be on clinical decision-making to design, implement, and assess a comprehensive goal-based treatment plan. Students will be exposed to contemporary and traditional approaches for physical agents, electrotherapeutic, manual, and mechanical modalities.
