Change of Address
Students may change their address, email address, and phone numbers by logging into The River Portal. To ensure receipt of College correspondence, information distributions, and emergency notifications, it is important to keep contact information updated.
Students must activate their FREE student email account (RiverMail) at https://irsc.edu/rivermail/. RiverMail is the College’s official method of electronic communication with students. All departments—including Financial Aid, Account Receivable, and the Student Records and Services Department—use RiverMail to send important messages about financial accounts and student records, such as grade updates, transfer evaluation information, commencement, and graduation information.
Students may also receive emails from instructors related to coursework, some of which may also be communicated through the Canvas Learning Management System. To stay informed, students are expected to check their RiverMail regularly and ensure their mailbox has enough space to receive messages. Please note that some communications may be time‑sensitive, and it is the student’s responsibility to review emails promptly.
